 Vika Mykolenko Joins Kinasewich Board

Jan 10, 2013

Viktoriya Mykolenko (Brown '12) has joined the board of the Kinasewich Fund.  "Vika embodies all of the qualities that Gene had wished for when he founded the program," says president Bill Beckett, and it will be an excellent addition to the board to have one of the Kinasewich students help take the foundation forward.

Vika has had a terrific experience since first coming to school from her home in Ukraine.  Vika attended the summer ESL program at Phillips Academy and then attended Southfield School in Brookline for her first academic year.   She attended Proctor Academy in new Hampshire where she excelled academically and in soccer and hockey  before attending Brown.  At Brown, Vika majored in international relations and competed for four years for the Brown Women's Hockey team.

Vika looks forward to her participation on the board of the Kinasewich Foundation.  Vika's close ties to her home and her intimate and current knowledge of high school and college requirements will be very helpful in identifying future candidates for fund support.
