WEST ORANGE, NJ- Despite heavy snow, the Children of Chornobyl Relief and Development Fund (CCRDF) in conjunction with the Ukrainian American Cultural Center of NJ (UACCNJ) managed to hold an impressive fundraiser game between the NJ Devils Alumni and the NY Ukrainian Kozaks. The event which was held at the Richard J. Codey Arena housed a high number of NHL Alumni, as well as Ukrainians from as far as Toronto, Canada. The event also housed a silent auction full of autographed memorabilia from a number of athletes, aside from the annual commemorative pucks, this years’ auction also offered a signed hockey stick from Robert Gordon "Bobby" Orr.

The event began at 2:00PM with figure skating performances by Alina Milevskaya and Natalia Popova, followed by the NJ Devils Alumni vs. NY Kozaks hockey game. It was an honor for me and Oleksander Romanenko, a fellow teammate and long time friend from the Manhattanville College Hockey Team, to have been able to attend this event. On behalf of the Eugene Kinasewich Fund I would like to thank this organization for its donation to a fund that has financially helped us excel athletically and academically.
